Who Is Jacqui
When Jacqui A. Showers was a young teenager in junior high school, as a class assignment she wrote an essay encouraging a teenage boy contemplating suicide to not kill himself, but to live. She meticulously outlined the many reasons he should live. Unbeknownst to Min. Showers, this class assignment would become an award-winning essay because of her sensitivity and inspirational words of encouragement.
What I’ve come to realize, according to Minister Showers, early in our existence God reveals to us who He created us to be. Oftentimes we miss the signals because we think they are just mere coincidences in life, when in actuality they are divine messages trying to steer us in the direction God had intended. All of our talents and gifts, God placed in us before we were born. Yet unfortunately many of us meander through life aimlessly searching for our purpose. Yet, if we take a journey back over our lives we realize that God told us who we were when we were just mere children. "That is what happened to me the day I won that writing contest. It was more than a class assignment, but it was God letting me know that He had created me to communicate words that would inspire people to embrace their divine purpose as I direct them to the One who orchestrated their future and destiny even before they were born,” states Minister Showers. “As I have sought God for my divine purpose, what I realized is that there were critical crossroads in this journey where I had to make some important decisions. It is these decisions that determined whether or not we walk in the fullness of God’s promises or we meander through life searching desperately for the revelation of our identity,” she states.
